Denying The Wrongs You Commit Towards Others: PRIDE,One of the Carnal Sins (Part 2)
PRIDE is a very powerful carnal sin. It is was made Lucifer, one of God’s top-ranked arch angels to fall from grace, and to be locked out of heaven, forever. It is what made room for other sins like wrath and envy to manifest within him, to transform him into Satan. The once pure soul that was allowed to be in the very presence of the Almighty God, one of God’s highest ranked arch angels, became impure to never be able to enter Heaven again. This was not meant to be the fate of Mankind. God demonstrated this upon the initial days of Adam and Eve. But because of evil’s pride, temptation and deception was brought into the paradise, and caused Man to sin. As a result God had issued this warning to Satan and those who decided to wage war against Him, since the beginning of time:
“Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
What is the “Enmity” that God was referring to, in this Scripture? The definition of Enmity, according to Webster’s is “positive, active, and typically mutual hatred or ill will“. It is Jesus Christ, His Son. Jesus conquered him, through His Life Example, defeating His Temptations while roaming this earth; and through His Death on the Cross at Calvary, He conquered Evil, and the death sentence that was meant for Mankind, and saved us from God’s Wrath of falling to the sinful human nature, that the serpent gave birth to, that day, in the Garden of Eden. Now with the Freewill that God gave us, we have the CHOICE to CHOOSE whether we continue to fall prey, or to truly become enlightened by Unconditional Love, which was seen in the selfless Sacrifice, seen on the Cross, at Calvary. Though committing no crime Himself, He took on Mankind’s Sin, and took the punishment meant for us, as His Own…to give Mankind one final chance.
God’s Children will endure so many trials in the spiritual sense, and in the earthly sense. This is because they have truly understood that God’s Ways are not of the world’s ways. And by knowing this Truth, evil will try to throw anything and everything at His Children, in order to throw them off the path to the Eternal Kingdom, and bring them along with it, to endure the sentence of God’s Wrath. We should remember the Love exhibited on the Cross, so selflessly. God’s Mercy is so abundant, so why deny the wrongs? It’s not like He has not seen them.
By doing so, what are you losing? Your Pride?
