A Spiritual Path, is not dictated by Human Logic; but led by Divine Logic.

Testing of the Spirits

test the spirits bible verse

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” -1 John 4:1

There will come a time where it will be very hard to immediately discern what is of evil; and what is from God. Only someone that has dedicated their life to feeding their soul with the Word of God, the Father of Creation, will have the tools, and the knowledge of knowing this. God reads hearts of humanity, everyday, and He sees who is worthy of such knowledge from His Eternal Kingdom, and who is not. He gives us till our last breaths on this earth, to allow for us to qualify ourselves for such Eternal Knowledge. It is not through acts, or deed of good nature. It is through that loyalty of seeking and searching for His Knowledge, that will immediately translate to our conduct and behavior in everyday life. Through the Guidance of the Holy Spirit, a loyal soul will have this desire, to see the ways of the Eternal Kingdom….in the ways of the Divine Laws of Love. Many evil spirits will try to disguise themselves as such spirits, in order to fool weak souls, away from their search, and as a result, off of the path to the Eternal Kingdom. This is why St. John instructs us in the Scripture above.

When a soul has been found worthy by the Holy Spirit to take root within, it will not know any other way to live, even if the human life is manipulated by its 5 senses. Even if the flesh gives in to a moments worth of what is considered weak (to a spiritually enlightened soul) it will immediately feel the violation, through the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Satan can only manipulate earthly things, and what the earthly human 5 senses can sense, because he knows this can cause weakness within a soul that is destined to the Eternal Kingdom.

“For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.” -Galatian 5:17

A soul that is constantly in prayer, and feeding on the Word of God, will be lead by the Holy Spirit. Does it mean that we may at times fall weak to the flesh, yes, of course! This is what makes us human. However, what is the difference between an enlightened and an unenlightened human being is the way one feeds their soul. Do they feed it through pleasing the flesh, by pleasing the 5 human senses; or through the soul? Does it mean in order to keep the soul on track to the path towards the Eternal Kingdom, that the earthly life will be difficult…at times, yes. Very much so. God said that His Ways do not conform to the world’s ways, but are beyond them.

So how do we test the spirits? One, check their knowledge of a code of conduct against what your soul tells you what is in correlation to the Word of God or not. Also, have people that you can go to, so that you can check that, in the event it is beyond what you know spiritually. A personal philosophy is always reflected in one’s daily life, and in how they treat others. It is also emanated from the soul one owns and possesses. These are things that can not be denied by a soul guided by Divinity.

You see God has put in all of these safe houses and tools within a soul that has been found fit for the Eternal Kingdom. And the path to the Eternal Kingdom, as demonstrated by Jesus Christ (Yeshu Christu, Yeshua, Yeshuay), is not an easy one; at the same time, the path to Hell is quite easy to follow.  We must always remember that, and decide with each day we are given to live, by God, the Father of Creation, whether we willingly, as Jesus Christ did, take on the difficult path or not; and heed to the Guidance of the Holy Spirit, to avoid the evils that we come across in our daily lives, that seek for us to fall off of the path that we were always destined to be on.
